The Anxiety Frequency

We humans are far more telepathic than many would have us believe. We communicate way beyond our spoken words and written language. We communicate visually, physically, emotionally and psychically. Many of us feel an unspoken communication with our pets or plants and some even claim they can tap into the consciousness of inanimate objects. Not to mention that we are empathetic by nature, capable of wincing in pain simply by witnessing someone else get hurt. It is almost as though we are all connected by an unseen, wireless network of telepathic energies. 

Well, maybe we are.

Most of us understand how a radio works. A radio station transmits a sound signal, which is broadcast as radio waves. These radio waves have unique frequencies which transmit out. Miles away, someone with a radio receiver tunes into that frequency and they can hear the sound signal sent by the station. 

I dare to postulate that we, as humans do the same with emotional energies. We are like biological, emotional and psychic radios.

The Anxiety Broadcast

At some level of our being, we know that this flesh and bone body we live in is only one dimensional aspect of ourselves because we understand that we are multidimensional beings. Just look at the fact that we have dreams when we sleep. Where is our physical body in that reality? It is in the mind, as are all things ultimately, and in the realm of consciousness. When we consider this, we can open ourselves up to the idea that we are so much more than our physical selves and we can toy with the idea that we are like radios, transmitting and receiving signals 24 hours a day.

Take the fact that many people today experience anxiety attacks. It seems that more and more people are suffering from them every day. Why do you suppose that is? I believe it is because it is our nature to tune into emotional energies. Since we have social media nowadays, more and more people are tuning into the energy of anxiety (which is just another mask for fear) at a faster and faster rate than ever before. Thanks to The Law of Attraction, the more we talk about it, the more we broadcast it and the more we broadcast it, the more anxiety we create, and it loops back again, becoming a stronger signal each time.

But just because it is in our nature to be empathetic, it does not mean we need to be at the mercy of the radio waves being sent out by others. We just need to learn how to tune ourselves to the frequencies we wish to receive. And once we realize that we are the ones tuning our own radios, we no longer need to tune into the frequency of anxiety or anything else unwanted for that matter.

It’s easy to blame someone or something else for making us feel bad, but when we begin to accept the fact that we are the ones creating our own reality and thus, the ones choosing how we wish to experience life, we come to a point where we can no longer blame anyone or anything for how we feel. This is how we learn to tune ourselves. This is how we take back our power and deliberately tune ourselves to the frequencies of things which are wanted. This is how we create a life more in line with our heart’s desires and it is ultimately, the secret to happiness.

Anxiety is a horrible thing to live with, I know because I suffered from it for many, many years. I had enough of my own fears and worries going on, I certainly didn’t need to tune into other people’s. But I didn’t know I was doing that, not until I made the decision to feel better (rather than kill myself), then taught myself to meditate on a daily basis. Once I did that, all kinds of new things began to open up to me. I discovered that the reason I would sometimes suffer from crippling panic attacks in public spaces was because I was going in totally unaware of the energies I had allowed into my energy field.

Since everything is energy and we are capable of sending and picking up on those energies, it is imperative that we let go of our prejudices about what is real and what isn’t in order to allow ourselves to be fully present in our own being. Meditation helps with this. When you meditate on a regular basis, you begin to see just how powerful you are. 

You see, we are infinite beings having a human experience. The mind is powerful, the heart is powerful and since we are creators, we create through our thoughts and emotions (which could also be called energy). But in order to master the understanding and use of this, we need to be more mindful of the energies we allow into our energy field and we need to learn how to control our emotional output.

Be Aware of Your Emotional Input

We are faced with a myriad of different energies coming at us on a daily basis, many of them so subtle that we are not conscious of their influence until they manifest into a tangible experience. In our modern society, the media and electronic devices are the greatest influences on our energies, but thankfully they are also the easiest influence to control.

Movies, television, social media, websites, music, books, newspapers, magazines, graphic novels, even art all carry their own energy or consciousness, if you will. In addition, because everything is ultimately consciousness, every thought that has ever been thought still exists. Each thought carries its own frequency signature, and there are many, many thoughts tied into our media. You can unwittingly tap into these at any time, especially if you are unaware of their influence on you. 

These all have a major impact on how you feel emotionally because when you engage with this media, what you are essentially doing is taking that energy into your personal energy field and carrying it around with you. And as we learned from Law of Attraction, like attracts like so the more energy like this you carry, the more you will attract. 

If you are at all empathetic, then you are even more sensitive to these energies and it can severely hinder your ability to feel good, as it did me. And if you are like me, it can add to your already going frequency of anxiety too, making you susceptible to anxiety attacks among other things.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to spend less and less time around media which makes you feel anything less than good. This isn’t easy in our society, where we are bombarded with ghastly images on a daily basis, not to mention the continued reminder of the decline of humanity brought to you by the fear and anxiety of those mindlessly participating in social media. But I promise you, the less time you spend engaged in it, the better you will feel and the better you feel, the better you can learn how to tune into the things which you do want to see and the more you will be moving in the direction of your dreams.

Being away from electronics in general is also beneficial because our bodies are constantly being assaulted by invisible frequencies thanks to our electricity, radios, microwaves, cell phones, automobiles, computers, tablets and wifi. All of these energy frequencies weaken our energy field both physically and psychically. Not to mention the fact that inventors of the technological devices capable of transmitting these frequencies designed them specifically for the purpose of manipulating the body’s magnetic field so that it is easier to manipulate our emotional bodies. 

Sound outrageous? I thought so too until I looked into the actual patents themselves and saw with my own eyes how companies openly admit that they are creating devices designed to control us. They understand that, without proper mindfulness, we are susceptible to this kind of manipulation and therefore are open to suggestion, if not outright mind control. This makes us easier to control as a society, especially if the frequencies are broadcasting from a place of fear. It makes us consumers of things we don’t really need, let alone want, because we are attempting to appease the fear that somehow we are not enough by ourselves. Advertisers are well aware of this and they use it to their advantage. 

It also narrows our perceptions so that we are forced into a certain way of thinking and acting which inevitably fits someone else’s agenda, whether that be for economic power or political power or just power in general. This, if for no other reason, should be enough for most people to want to spend more and more time away from such devices.

Take Control of Your Emotional Output

If you want to be in charge of your own frequency and have a better chance against negative influences, then it is imperative that you take back control of your emotional output. Take back your power and stop giving it away to every person, news story, television show or whatever has got you distracted, by blaming them for how you feel. 

You feel how you feel because of what you are focused on and because you are multidimensional, you experience an emotional response to whatever you are focused on in that moment. If you feel anything but good, then you are focusing on the energies not in alignment with your highest truth, your heart’s desires. If you feel anything but good, you simply have a different opinion on the matter than your higher self does.  

Let’s say for example, that you have recently broken up with your boyfriend. Things ended badly between you two and the thought of him just makes you angry now. The anger you feel is an indication that your higher self sees it differently. Your higher self focuses only on things which are wanted, in this case, a better relationship for you next time. 

The anger you feel is like a signpost on your journey through life, letting you know that your desired destination does not lie down that path so it’s time to change your focus. Your desired destination lies down the path that feels better and that is where your higher self is pointing you. Hence the emotional communication from your higher self. To you, the relationship went all wrong and although you may not be able to be in agreement with it, your higher self sees it as though nothing has gone wrong. 

Because nothing has. 

Nothing ever goes wrong in the grand scheme of things because all things contribute to the wholeness of who you are, of who we are, of who All That Is...is. We are all one, you see and as we experience life, we grow and learn and become more. The higher self becomes that “more” because of your experience, because of your asking for something better and if we go with the better feeling thoughts, then we get to experience that becoming something better which your higher self has already created.   

This is why it is so important to learn about your emotions and what they mean for you, for when you begin to see them as signposts, gently guiding you toward your desired destination, you value them and use them to help you in your everyday life. 

Many people fear the painful emotions, but this can cause repression. Repressed emotions can wreak havoc on your psyche not to mention on your physical body. And the worst thing is, the more you repress, the more susceptible you are to physical and mental illness, emotional manipulation and of course, anxiety and all the other negative emotions out there. This is because you are actively carrying around all of these heavy energies in your energy field, attracting more of it everywhere you go. 

I lived with repressed emotions for nearly thirty years. Let me tell you, it sucks. Thankfully, it doesn’t need to be this way.

The trick is to let yourself feel the painful emotion, no matter how scary it may seem. You have to just let it come and let yourself feel it. You might have to cry, you might have to shout, you might have to punch a pillow, like I did. Once you allow these emotions to have expression, you will see that the emotion will leave just as quickly. This is how you gain control of your emotional output. And this is how I overcame my anxiety and depression. It wasn’t easy, but it was simple in technique; you gotta feel it to heal it. 

My pain was so repressed, that I had to use EFT (also called Tapping) to help me become consciously aware of the emotions I hide inside. I probably would have had an easier time if I had gone to a professional therapist because I was processing some very heavy emotions, but that’s ok. I learned how to clear myself of those energies and more importantly, I learned how to process my emotions so that I need not feel overwhelmed by them again. 

Take Back Your Power

You no longer need to be a mindless victim against the frequencies coming at you and you no longer need to be a victim of your own habit of negative thought. Anxiety does not need to be an everyday thing for you. You have the power to decide what you focus on and how you wish to feel about it. And should the negative emotions pop up, let them come so you can let them go. 

Don’t be afraid to seek the help of a friend or a professional should you need it. Getting help is not a sign of weakness for it takes great courage to even ask for it. If you need it, let yourself get it. You do not have to do this alone. 

Most importantly, stop giving your power away by blaming others for how you feel. Choose your battles and choose where you will place your focus for you are more powerful than you let yourself believe. Take charge of your power and honor your emotions for they are guiding you to your greatest good. The more you practice this, the more you will learn that you are powerful and the more you will learn that you can do anything you set your mind to do. 

You are free and you are sovereign for you are the creator of your life. Don’t let anyone or anything else tell you otherwise, especially the frequency of negative influences. This is your life and it’s a short one so stop wasting your time - your most precious commodity - tuning into negative broadcasts. And instead, tune yourself to the frequency of your Source, to the frequency of your higher self, which is the frequency of love and joy. 

Do more of what makes you happy and less of what makes you not happy and you will tune to the frequency of your heart. Tune into that and you can never go wrong.

How to Change the World

If you look at what the media tells you is going on in the world today, you might form the opinion that we live in a rather crazy, chaotic and seemingly helpless world. In my own country alone, we are shown headlines that would make our forefathers heads spin if they were to see them today. There is war and threats of nuclear war...still. Our government is run by corporations who give no honor to the earth as they destroy the very ground they stand upon. Our healthcare system is faulty and run by legalized drug dealers. Our economic system is shaky and unstable as the U.S. dollar loses its sustenance. Racism is still a problem in this day and age. There are people going mad and shooting children in their schoolyard. People are fighting each other to the point of civil war over every issue you can conceive. And meanwhile, our rights are being quietly taken away as many are distracted by social media and reality television.

I could go on and on, but I’ve decided to stop doing that. And I advise you to do the same. In fact, I dare to go a little further and advise you to stick your head in the metaphorical sand for a little while, then go and daydream. Just to see what happens. Yes, I’m saying ignore reality, even if it’s just for a little while.

For where attention goes, energy flows.

You see, it is our attention which brings more of these things to the planet. We are only just beginning to realize this as a species and it’s time we spread the message. After learning what I have about quantum physics and about the multidimensionality of the human being, I am beginning to see that our most delicate and prized resource is indeed, our attention.

I have learned that our attention is what drives our focus and our focus is what creates our reality. If our attention is kept on something unwanted, then we continue to place our focus upon that. As Law of Attraction teaches, the more we focus on something, the more magnetic energy we send out to attract more things like it. So whether the subject matter is wanted or unwanted doesn’t matter. What matters is that your attention is kept, and the more you do this, the more your focus is fine tuned. The more fine tuned your focus is on something, the faster more things like it arrive in your experience.

Prove It To Yourself

If you have little to no experience with this, I urge you to test it out for yourself. If you’re one of the “I’ll believe it when I see it” people, this is a great way to prove to yourself your ability to focus and attract. Here’s a little exercise:

First, turn off all your media devices and remove yourself from distractions. The less distractions we give the mind, the easier it is to focus. This is why it is so crucial, if you want to be happy, for you to spend time every single day away from such distractions. When the mind is less distracted, the imagination kicks in and your imagination is your greatest tool for creation.

Second, pick a subject that means nothing or very little to you. It can be anything, but try to keep it simple. For me, it was dolphins. I like dolphins, but I don’t have any strong feelings for them one way or another. Whatever subject you choose, be sure you don’t have any strong emotional attachments to it, whether positive or negative. I picked dolphins because I was mostly neutral about them, so pick a subject like that for yourself.

Third, spend a few minutes (I suggest at least three) thinking about your subject. What do you know about it? Using my example, from what I know of dolphins, they are clever, happy and social creatures. Ask yourself a series of questions to get the thought train moving in the direction of your subject. What do they look like? What colors? What do they sound like? What do you think of when you think of them? Just follow your thought train on your subject, but should you find your mind wandering, gently direct your thoughts back to your subject. It might be easier for you if you can find an image to look upon to assist your imagination in this process so your mind isn’t tempted to wander.

Fourth, and this is the most important step, let the subject go. Get up and do something else, go to another room or go take a nap. The reason you want to let the subject go is because you do not want to develop an emotional response to the subject you were just thinking about. When you place an emotional response, it is like attaching a weight upon the subject. If the response is positive, then there is no worry but very few of us can maintain a positive response for long, at least when we are first learning to manifest (you’ll get better at it with practice).

If the response has any sort of doubt within it, then it’s like a weight is attached to the subject and the next phase of manifestation is slowed down. The more attachment, the more weight and also, the longer the wait for the manifestation, no pun intended. So if you can let the subject go by going and doing something else, the better your results.

Now, the final step is just to go about your day and notice whenever something which resonates with your subject shows up. This is a manifestation. This is the magnetic attraction. Like attracts like and they meet up in energetic rendezvous. For me, I saw manifestations all over the place within a matter of hours. First, I noticed that my sister was watching a nature show on dolphins as I walked by the living room. Then on my laptop, my news feed showed me an article about dolphins a little while later. Then when I went to my nephew’s school that evening for an event, I saw that his school mascot was a dolphin! If you care to learn more, I explain more about attracting in this article.

You can do these little experiments as often as you like. You will notice that the more doubtful, emotional attachment you have to something, the slower the manifestation of it. Try it with all kinds of subjects. Remember, manifestations can show up in many forms, so even if you overhear strangers talking about your subject, it is still a manifestation.

I did this for months before I finally admitted to myself that it was, in fact, me who was creating these rendezvous. My focused attention and my allowance of the manifestations by remaining neutral in my emotional attachments brought the similar energies together so that I may experience a manifestation of it. I needed the proof before I could finally commit to this new belief - that my thoughts create my reality.

Kill Your Television

This is why it is so crucial for us all, as a human race to learn and accept the power of our attention. For our minds are powerful, more powerful than the credit its given by most people. With your mind, you can create the world you wish to live in. You can do this by being mindful about where you place your attention.

If you place your attention on the chaos and the fear, which is so dramatically displayed to us with graphics and music through our media, then that is what you will continue to create in your experience. It is bad enough with one individual, but on a collective level, this is damaging not only to ourselves as a species, but to the entire planet and beyond for we are all energetically connected.

So I urge you to put your head in the sand when it comes to what society is telling you is going on in the world. It isn’t the whole picture. It is a skewed perspective on reality and your attention on it only magnifies it. In fact, I encourage you to kill your television and your media. Just get rid of it. Do you really need it? Think of all the other things you could be doing with your time. Trust me, if there is something important going on in the world, you are going to hear about it one way or another anyway.

Of course, if that’s too drastic for you, then just take more time away from the distractions. Get out in nature every day, go for a walk around your neighborhood. Turn your cell phone off after a certain time in the evening. Unplug your devices and unplug your distracted mind. Look up more often. Sit outside more and watch the birds fly. Gaze into a campfire, take a nap on the lawn, look up at the stars and wonder about things. Be selective about where you place your attention.

I urge you to realize just how precious it is. Your attention is far, far more valuable than money. It is far more valuable than anything you could possibly conjure up on this physical plane. What you focus on matters. What you put in front of your face matters. What you spend your time on matters. You only have a short amount of time in this life, why waste it on things which do not make you feel good, especially if they are big things which seem out of your control? What you keep your mind on matters for it is what creates our world. And if we want a better world, this is the way we will create it.

This is what you do to change not only your life, but also the world: you focus on what is working. Focus on the things you wish to see more of, not the things you want to end. Stop fighting the things you don’t like, stop trying to get people to see things your way, stop protesting against the people who disagree with you. All of that only creates more of what you don’t want and more of the world’s chaos. Just let it go.

Instead, focus on the change you want to see. Focus on the things you wish to support and see more of in this world. For example, if you don't like the fact that pesticides and hormones are put on our foods in large grocery stores, don't march in the streets in angry protest, just go and shop at your local farmer's market instead. This stops the focus on the negative and supports the positive.

This goes for any area of your life. Focus on the feelings you wish to create and practice them. What you send out, you get back. Focus is your superpower. Take control of it. Focus on the world we all wish to live in and focus on the life you want to create. For you are the creator of your experience, the creator of your life. You get to choose where you place your focus, you get to choose how to feel. Let not the “reality” of what society tells you is real determine your focus, let your heart guide you to it, to what is real to you. When we let others tell us where to focus, we give away our power and we give away our most precious resource - our attention.

Changing The World Starts With You - More Ways To Bring Change

Shop Smarter. Don't fall into the trap of blind consumerism. Do your research. Find out about the products and the companies you give your dollars to. Your money is your vote for the type of world you wish to live in. If you give your money to a company that does not treat its employees well, for example, you are contributing to their practices and the more you buy their products, the more you are allowing them to continue. It's simple economics. If there is no demand, the supply goes away. Use your money wisely for it is your greatest power against the corporations who wish to manipulate you and take advantage of your un-awakened state of mind. Learn the value of your emotions. You may not realize this, but your thoughts are extremely powerful. The more you worry and fret over things, the more things you will create in your life to worry about. Whenever the anxiety of it gets to you, remind yourself that all of your personal experiences are really only happening in your mind. Yes, they may seem to be external, but really it is your perception of them which make them real to you. It is your emotional response which determines your experience of it. Your emotions play a very important role in how your life plays out and the sooner you learn to use them to guide you, the better your life will be.

Learn to meditate. Meditation is extremely beneficial in many different ways. Not only does it aid in stress reduction, but it also brings clarity and peace of mind. It can do wonders for your anxiety as it teaches you how to get your mind off of the things which make you feel bad. The more you do this, the more you will understand that you have all of the answers you will ever need right inside of you. If you are new to this, try some guided meditations to get you started. There are many different types from which to choose, just find one that seems interesting to you and try it.

Seek the counsel of other like minded individuals. With the internet, we have instant, global communication available to us, so there is no excuse not to connect with others. Do some searches for websites, forums and chat rooms for people who have the same interests as you do. Or if you are feeling so inclined, start a group where you live and invite others to come and talk about the things you are interested in. You can start a spiritual book club or join someone else’s. Connect with others who are also waking up and seek the wisdom of those already awakened.

Watch thoughtful and inspirational documentaries. There are a great deal of documentaries available to assist you in your spiritual growth and awareness. Here are some recommendations.

Drop or decrease all the negative influences in your life. These will only prove to slow you down if not prevent you from seeking your inner truth. This could mean something as simple as cutting out television or social media, or it could mean something as drastic as no longer hanging out with people who drain you and make you feel bad about yourself.

Spend more time in nature. Instead of going home after a long day of work, take some time to stop by the park and take a stroll. Or take a weekend camping trip, away from all electronics and other distractions. Take time to sit quietly and observe the beauty of nature. Meditating in nature is one of the best ways to get in tune with your own natural rhythm.

Seek knowledge and understanding. Do some research, read more books and talk to others who know the topics you are exploring. Stop wasting your free time on frivolous and empty things. This is time you could spend learning and growing as an individual instead of wasting time doing something which doesn’t fulfill you. Remember, time is your most precious commodity, use it wisely.

Other Ideas To Uplift and Change The World
  • Look on the bright side more often!
  • Spend less time around electronics and less time on social media.
  • Pick up trash in public spaces.
  • Take hot baths with epsom salts to increase your magnesium. Magnesium deficiency is common with our Standard American Diet (SAD) .
  • Walk barefoot upon the lawn or lay upon it and watch the clouds.
  • Carry helpful crystals with you. Some suggestions: onyx, amethyst, clear or rose quartz and citrine.
  • Bake something and share it with your neighbors, maybe you will make new friends.
  • Put away your cell phone and pick up a book.
  • Stop or cut back on television, even the news. Don’t worry, people will alert you to anything important.
  • Leave a five dollar bill in a library book.
  • Teach someone a skill you have learned.
  • Help someone less fortunate with a small task, e.g. helping an old lady cross the street.
  • Cut back on your sugar intake, seek natural sweeteners instead. Avoid artificial sweeteners.
  • Take a walk around your neighborhood and wave to your neighbors as you pass.
  • Notice your consumption habits and donate or get rid of any excess stuff you may have lying around.
  • Volunteer for a worthy cause.
  • Start a garden and learn to grow and cook your own food.
  • Walk or take your bike instead of your car whenever the opportunity arises.
  • Spend more time with your children and pets.
  • Perform random acts of kindness.
  • Practice more arts and crafts, awake your creative mind.
  • Accept that you are here with a higher purpose and that you are on the path to your greater good.
Don’t believe the lies of the mind which tell you that you are powerless to change this crazy world. And don’t believe the media which reinforces this false belief. You are powerful and it’s time you remembered that. It’s time we all did.

Conflict or Contrast? The Lens of Your Perception

We have billions of people upon this planet, each one of us offering a unique perspective based on our unique life experiences. This is the diversity we see in our world and sometimes this diversity seems to create conflict. One group of people feel one way about a particular subject while another group is in total disagreement with them. Whichever group we find ourselves in, we feel that we are right and that everyone else should see things our way. If they do not, then they are the enemy and must be stopped if not completely eradicated. This can lead to all sorts of conflicts up to and including all out war. But what if we stopped seeing the diversity as a bad thing? What if we changed the way we looked at conflict? What if conflict was actually seen as contrast?

When we look at the word, contrast means to be different in nature or to show the unlikeness of things. In other words, contrast allows us to see how things are not alike. Photographers know this. When we look at a photograph, it is the difference between the shadows and the light which produces the image. Without the contrast, we would not be able to discern the image. With contrast, we are able to see more clearly, we are able to understand what it is we are looking at and we are in turn able to place our attention on the things which are wanted instead of on things which are unwanted. If we can begin to think of the conflicts in terms of being displays of contrast, we can take the emphasis off of the pain and focus instead on the growth which has come about because of it.

I sometimes hear from people that they cannot believe that they are the ones creating their own reality. They have had hardships or illness or something of the sort in their lives and so they cannot fathom why they would do something like that to themselves. They say, “I cannot be creating my own reality because I would not do these horrible things to myself.” And I say, “You are not doing them on purpose, but whether you’re aware of it or not, you are the creator of your experience and that’s a very good thing because that means no one else can create your experiences for you.”

Why you are perfectly justified to feel terrible about the bad things, the key is not to dwell there. Yes, bad things happen and sometimes it seems that other people are causing them, but we cannot leave our focus there if we wish to feel better. You cannot look at something bad and feel good. To find your growth, you must focus more on what that “bad thing” has caused you to desire for your life (the expansion) rather than explaining, defending or justifying why you aren’t having a better life experience right now. What has this contrast allowed you to see more clearly? What has it caused you to want for your life? What is the growth? If you can learn to look for the growth rather than the pain, the conflict can be viewed as contrast and in time you can begin to appreciate the contrast for what it is - a powerful tool which enables you to discern what it is you want for your life and your world. For when you know what you don’t want, you know what you do want. This is the value of contrast. But getting to the point where you can see the growth can take some time and practice as I can well tell you.

There was a time where I could relate to their way of thinking as I had enough hardships in my own life to feel that someone else was doing these things to me. Why would I, as a small child, ask for the abuse my father inflicted upon me? And how could I even do that as a small child? Surely it had to be someone or something else that allowed that to happen. Not to mention all of the pain I carried because of it for so many years - I would never create that for myself! Those thoughts are actually the ones that led me on my spiritual quest so many years ago. I had to figure out why something like that would ever be allowed to happen and I had to figure out why it happened to me specifically. I needed it to make sense because it felt so wrong. I kept asking myself “Why? Why did this happen? Why me? What’s wrong with me?” So I set out on a spiritual journey to discover the answers, which eventually led me to my greatest understanding - that I am the creator of my reality and I have the power to alter my experience in any given moment. And most importantly, that there was absolutely nothing wrong with me.

As I learned and practiced the Law of Attraction, the great question of “Why?” was answered for me. I realized that it was the contrast which created the greatest expansion in my life. I realized that it was the very thing I was pushing so hard against which was creating a better version of me, if I would just allow it. My soul had become so much more because of it, but I hadn’t gone with that growth. I had a contrasting experience at a young age because I knew the potential growth that would come from it. And my parents knew it too and were willing participants in our mutual growth. We knew it at a deep, soul level, the level of our Source as we came into this life experience with intentions for growth. It took my own personal spiritual journey to discover it on a conscious level so that I can understand it here and now. But even if I never did gain that understanding while I was here in this body, I would gain the understanding upon death when my soul reemerged into the fullness of that which I am. As will my parents one day. As we all will.

I understand now that it is the “bad” things that happen in life which allows the growth to happen, which allows us to continue to evolve into better and better beings. In truth, there are no bad things as we must have the contrast in order to continue our perpetual motion of creation/evolution. All things are good because the contrasting experiences are the means by which our ever expanding creation is possible. If the contrast didn’t exist, we would not be able to continue to become more, we would not be eternal. For it is the shadows which allows us to discern the light and it is the silence between the notes which allows us to hear the music.

It is the duality of all things which gives us a jumping off point for creation. When we know what we don’t want, our Inner Beings immediately know what we do want. And that is where our Inner Being is guiding us toward what we want and giving us constant feedback (by means of emotions) on where we are in relation to it. When we dwell in the negative thoughts and feelings, we are not near what is wanted. We can dwell there for so long that we pinch ourselves off from the well-being which flows to us naturally from Source. And then depression sinks in because you cannot be focused on what is unwanted and feel good at the same time. It is only when we give up the struggle that we can finally allow more of that natural well-being back into our experience.

But it isn’t easy to give up the struggle, especially when we live in a world that is so real and observable. A world which constantly shows us the “reality” of what is current. We can touch it, taste it, hear it, see it. Just like the scientists of old thought that everything was solid before we discovered the quantum world, we think that this manifested world is all there is to reality, unaware that what is observable is actually old news in terms of creation. What has already been manifested is not the end all, it is merely the reflection of where you have been. It is the jumping off point for what is to come. What is really being created by and for you is coming from your point of attraction right here and now. That is why your ability to deliberately focus is so important and that is why all of your power is right here, right now. It is never in the past, the past is only a platform from which you can launch your new desires. And there really is no future as you are creating your future now. Everything you do is always happening Now.

Since reality is subjective to the individual, we have the ability to focus on the reality we wish to see manifest in this timespace reality. We have the ability to focus on the thoughts which make us feel better. When we are in the middle of a contrasting experience, it isn’t always easy to focus on the good right away and sometimes the signal from Source isn’t easy to hear when we are pinching ourselves off. We have to practice our ability to focus deliberately, to tune ourselves to the same frequency to that which we are wanting, it is a skill and one which will continue to improve provided we do not become lazy and complacent with our thoughts. This is why it is imperative that we care about how we feel. We must be selfish enough to care about our feelings, to want to feel good and to make the effort to find a better feeling thought in any given moment. Only then will we be able to find the growth which came about from the “bad things” and only then will we be free to live the joyous life we intended for ourselves.

9 Things Empaths Need to Do Right Now

We empaths want to heal the world. It is a natural desire born out of the pain which we feel from others. It is ultimately selfish of us, but only because we want to feel better and that’s a very good thing. We do not always want to feel the pain, so healing others helps stop the pain. Because of this desire to help heal the world, empaths have a personal responsibility to keep themselves in a state of healthy emotional well-being. When you are feeling the pain and desperation of others, that’s not always an easy task, but with a little bit of work, it is possible.

Too often we allow ourselves to wallow in the pain which we feel from others. Sometimes we even find a little bit of pride in our abilities to feel it. Sometimes we let the pain get us to the point that we are stuck in a cycle of frustration, hopelessness and self-pity. We trick ourselves into thinking that we should take on the world’s pain, as if this would lessen it somehow. But unless we are able to be emotionally resilient, this can lead to some very undesirable states of being. My fellow empaths, this does not heal the world.

As empaths, we must examine ourselves and our motivations closely in order to bring about the change we wish to see on the planet. We must first learn the art of self-care. The following are some practical steps you can take, as an empath, to help yourself stay in a clear and receptive place so that you may use your gift and help heal the world. Once you have mastered these, then you will be in a healthy place to be there to assist others as your heart desires.

1. Practice Healthy Selfishness

Always take care of yourself first. I know that it seems counter-intuitive to say that in order to assist others, you must first take care of yourself, but it’s true. Think of the pre-flight safety message the airlines give just before take off. They tell you, “Secure your own oxygen mask before assisting others.” If you do not care for yourself first, you will not be able to breathe and you cannot be there to assist others.

Take the time to listen to your own needs and don’t neglect fulfilling them. Make feeling good your number one priority and do everything you can to keep yourself in a positive state of mind. This does not mean ignoring or running from the negative emotions though, those must be felt and processed before they can be released. This is about caring enough about how you feel to do something about it.

Do not worry about taking self-care too far and becoming narcissistic. Empaths cannot treat others poorly and still feel good, it's just not possible. So don't let that stop you from giving yourself the love you need. This is not selfishness, this is self-care.

2. Tell A New Story

Listen to the story you tell over and over again. Listen to the words you use most often, as words are much more powerful than most people realize. Words increase energy and focus, and that leads to creating more things just like it. Are you, like many of us, telling the story of how hard it is to be you? If so, then you are going to continue to struggle with your life and you will never see improvement.

Stop repeating to yourself and others how painful it is to be an empath. If your soul didn’t think you could handle it, you would not have been given this gift. You are strong enough. If you continue to tell the story of how terrible it is, life will only continue to show you more of it. Change your focus from yourself and instead, focus on uplifting others and the planet. This is why you have this gift. It’s not to come in and complain about how miserable it is to be an empath. It's time to stop that way of thinking right now.

3. Respond From a Place of Love Rather Than Fear

Whenever you disagree with someone, stop responding out of fear, disgust, hatred or annoyance. This will not solve anything, but only perpetuate the problem. As Dr. Wayne Dyer said, “You cannot remedy anything by condemning it.” Emotions near the Love end of the emotional spectrum (see figure 1) are the only emotions which will lead us to the solution.

If someone should say something which gets you worked up, stop and take a deep breath. Ask yourself if what you are about to say is helpful, kind and true. It must be all three if it is going to do any good. If it is not, then don’t say it! You will not help anything by continuing the momentum of negative feelings.

4. Be Open to Learning from Others

Stop thinking that you are the only one with the answer. Arrogance is sometimes difficult to spot, but if we are mindful of our emotions, thoughts, words and actions, we can become more aware of our habit to think that only we know what’s best. This is not how one gains wisdom.

Any answer near the Love end of the emotional spectrum (as opposed to Fear which is love's opposite) is worthwhile and a valid form of information we can consider. There may be several solutions to a problem and we must not close ourselves off from these by thinking that we are the only ones who know better. Be open to learning from others, especially if they disagree with you.

5. Be Mindful of Your Focus

Stop resisting the things you do not like. In other words, stop focusing on the problems. Stop pointing out all the things which make you feel anything but good. Stop posting sad and miserable things on your social media. Don’t participate in things which make you angry and annoyed.

We don’t need to shine a light on the problems of the world, we need to focus on the solutions instead. Start saying and posting positive, uplifting messages. Share things which make your heart feel light and happy. Always look for the bright side and share that view with others. Your focus is very powerful, a wise person does not underestimate it.

By putting your focus and attention on the problems, you increase the energy behind it and this creates more problems just like it for you to resist! You might have heard the expression, “What you resist, persists.” It’s true. Learn about the Law of Attraction and use it to your advantage.

6. Be Selective About Your Media

This goes hand in hand with the last one. If you want to see a big improvement in a very short amount of time, cut out or drastically reduce the amount of media in your life. The best way to stop focusing on the problems of the world is to take a break from the media as often as possible. Media gives us a very distorted view of the world, we must learn to develop our own view and our own opinions.

Turn off your television, turn off your laptop, turn off your smartphone and go for a walk in the woods. Find a way to spend more time in nature. Walk barefoot upon the earth as often as possible. Unplug and unwind even if it’s only for twenty minutes at a time. Do this daily. This will do wonders for you and the rest of the world.

When you do engage in media, I encourage you to be a snob about it. Weigh each piece with scrutiny. Be smart about it and look for the hidden messages. Check in with yourself. How does this piece of media make you feel? Does it uplift you and give you hope? Or does it drag you down, making you feel less than good? If it does not seem to be serving your soul growth, let it go. It will not help you and you do not need it.

7. Get Your "Me Time"

Spend more time alone. As empaths, this is a crucial step in self-care. Being with others can be great, but if we are the type to sacrifice our own happiness for others, we can sometimes forget to tend to our own needs and this can lead to negativity in many forms. Carving out time to be alone will help you with this. Pick your favorite activity (or non-activity) and go and do that for an hour or more. Do this several times a week.

This is also a great way for empaths to hone their skills. By being alone, we gain a greater sense of understanding of our own abilities and increase our psychic skills.

8. Realize You Can’t Fix Them All

Don’t waste your time on those who refuse to help themselves. Whenever you witness someone complaining about something, yet they refuse to do anything to change it, it’s time to distance yourself. You can’t help the people who are unwilling to change. They must be ready first. Don’t make yourself crazy trying to “fix” them when they aren’t in a place to even hear you clearly. Just send them love and light. Maybe one day, when they are ready, they will come to you for help. Until that day, wish them well and carry on with your own agenda.

9. Put Your Shields Up

If you’re extra sensitive, like me, learn to shield yourself psychically before interacting with others (this also includes online interactions). Sit or stand by yourself for a few minutes and take a few deep breaths. Going outside, barefoot in nature is best, but if that’s not possible, just find a quiet place for yourself.

Now bring your attention to your feet. Imagine strong, healthy roots shooting up from the earth beneath you, penetrating anything in between you and the earth, and attaching themselves to the bottoms of your feet. Feel yourself rooted firmly in the ground, strong and unshakeable. Now bring your attention to the top of your head. Imagine bright, shining light coming down from the sky above you, passing through anything in between and entering you through your head. Let it slowly fill your body with its warmth. Feel your connection to both the earth and the universe and let them shield you in a glowing, loving light.

This is your shield to protect you from the negativity of others. This is always available to you and visualizing this will help you solidify in your mind that you are in charge of your own feelings. You will still be able to feel the emotions of others, but they will not penetrate your shield. Instead, you will recognize them as not your own and be clear about how to respond because you are not incorporating what they are feeling into your own emotional state.

This little exercise has done wonders for me in helping me deal with the stress of being around others, especially in crowded spaces. I used to suffer from panic attacks whenever I was in a large crowd, but not anymore. Now I can walk through a crowd as if I am a firewalker, able to stroll across the hot coals without getting burned.

If you feel so inclined, you can also wear a crystal or two to assist you in keeping a helpful vibration when you are around others. My favorite for this purpose is labradorite. I wear a pendant of that near my heart chakra to assist me in maintaining my shield.


As empaths, we owe it to ourselves to keep ourselves in a good place emotionally, physically and spiritually. Not only because everyone deserves that, but because we want so desperately to ease the pain of the planet and its inhabitants and we can’t do that if we are not mindful about our own state of being. What the world needs now is more love and that all starts with having love for the self.

Other Helpful Things To Love Yourself

  • Learn to meditate (this is huge!)
  • Spend an hour (or as long as you can) daydreaming in a natural environment every day
  • Take warm baths with candles and soft music (engage the senses and relax the body)
  • Play more with children and animals (they naturally vibrate higher)
  • Keep a gratitude journal (write three things daily)
  • Volunteer your time to a charity (or make donations)
  • Get moving (go for a walk, do yoga, dance)
  • Read more books (non-fiction for learning, fiction for engaging the imagination)
  • Take a new route to work/school (this stimulates the brain and awakens new pathways)
  • Learn a new skill (also stimulates the brain and gives you satisfaction)
  • Perform random acts of kindness (engages and uplifts the heart chakras of all those around you)

Empaths, It's Time for Self Love

The number of empaths on the planet is growing rapidly and simply put, it’s all because of love. Their arrival is in response to a growing need for harmony and peace in a world full of turmoil and confusion.

Empaths are people who have a strong, natural ability to feel the emotions of another being: human, plant, animal or even non-physical beings. Some can even tap into the emotional output of planet Earth. For empaths, it is sometimes difficult to separate their own emotions from what they are feeling from others. It isn’t as if other’s emotions are outside of themselves, rather empaths feel how others feel as an integral part of themselves. They feel the connection between all things. It is as if they are emotional sponges, capable of soaking up the emotional energy around them. These people are highly sensitive and often have fantastic imaginations as this allows them to put themselves in the proverbial shoes of others.

This makes it very challenging for them to live in today’s world. Our world is currently in the midst of great change and there are many, many emotions being felt by its inhabitants. Because of this, if empaths are not careful to guard themselves from the negative influences, they may plummet into a downward spiral of depression and self-denial. I know because that’s where I was but thankfully, I am waking up. And if you’re an empath too, then this message is for you.

Science has shown us that species do in fact evolve, some before our very eyes. Some call it adaptation, but it is the same thing. There are many species who are rapidly evolving right now. We, as humans, are no exception to that. This is what the energy of the world is currently telling us right now - that it’s time for humans to take the next step as a species.

And this isn’t just for empaths. If you’re quiet and you listen, you can hear the call. The collective human consciousness is asking for change. It’s asking for peace. It’s asking for an end to the worldwide pain. It is absolutely essential for our survival, as a species, to find harmony on the planet. If we do not, we may very well destroy ourselves. This is the calling that many of us are feeling now and it’s time we answered.

Empaths, you are being triggered right now because it is a time of Awakening. It is time for each and every one of us to tap into our natural ability to feel what others feel and transmute that pain. You must stop taking it in and letting it get to you, bringing you to dark places. We transmute the pain by taking ownership of our own feelings. We must not let other people or conditions determine our emotional state for us. We must learn to process and release the emotions which hold us back from being who it is we want to be, not only as individuals but as a species. The world needs our abilities to help transcend the pain and transmute it into love. Compassion is our strength.

The Emotional Spectrum

Ultimately there are two ends on the spectrum of emotions. Love resides on one end and Fear resides on the other (see image below). Any other emotions we feel are somewhere along that spectrum, closer to one end than the other. It is our job, as empaths, to consciously move ourselves closer and closer to the Love end of the spectrum. This is the only thing that will evolve us as a species.

Science has shown us that DNA stores information (Sidenote: it also shows us that we are currently only using about 8% of our DNA, the rest of it has been labeled as junk DNA because we don’t know what it is for. Really, it has yet to be discovered. What if we could activate the other 92%?). It is in our DNA that the information, the history and the stories of our species is stored. In the past, we solved our problems with violence, we usually denied compassion, we went to war and we often operated out of fear. All of that is stored in our DNA and it is the old program. But guess what? It’s time for an upgrade. Evolution is calling and it’s time for us to answer. That DNA is being triggered to change, to become more and it changes by us being more in control of our emotional states.

It is imperative that we become more selfish in regards to making ourselves feel better rather than allowing ourselves to wallow in the negative for long. We must do everything we can to feel as good as we can. We must learn to love, first ourselves and then spread that love to others. We cannot allow ourselves to fall into the darkness of the fear emotions. That is not to say you must suppress or repress your emotions. Not at all. Rather we must learn to recognize, feel, process and release our negative emotions. We must learn to transcend the urge to lash out from fear and instead, find the courage to love despite the conditions. We must learn and practice unconditional love.

To accomplish this, we must first care more about how we feel. When we are not feeling so good, we must be diligent and pay attention so that we can do something to make ourselves feel better immediately. Too often we are taught that it is normal to feel bad because the world is a rotten place. We just get used to feeling crummy and call life hard because of it. Well, it’s time for that way of thinking to stop. I’m here to tell you from experience that feeling bad is not normal! What is normal, is feeling good.

Just look at the babies on this planet. As long as their basic needs of food, warmth and love are being met, they are very, very happy little people. And why is that? Because they know that feeling happy and joyful, curious and playful, is our natural state of being. As small children, we are like brilliant little lights of love and happiness. We approach everything and everyone around us with love and curiosity. We are eager to learn about the world around us and we are excited by life.

It isn’t until we begin to grow up and start listening to the grown-ups around us (those still stuck in the old program) that we begin to let our light diminish. We slowly begin to believe the well-meaning but ill informed adults and we accept that feeling bad is just a normal way of being. We begin to believe that there is a limit to happiness, that there is a limit to love. This way of thinking stems from the old DNA program, the survival mindset, which vibrates closer to the Fear end of the spectrum. But we have evolved and it’s time we changed the program. It is time to heal.

Empaths, Heal Thyself

I belong to a few groups on social media made specifically for empaths. They are designed as a safe place to find support and understanding, but all too often, they are filled with stories of sorrow, of self-pity and of frustration at humanity. My fellow empaths, it is time to stop dwelling there. Yes, we know how hard it is to feel the pain of humanity in our souls, but feeling the pain is not transmuting it. It’s wallowing in the old program, in the old way of thinking that there is a limit to love. There is no limit to love!

You can reprogram yourself and it all starts with self-love. If you have old traumas stored in your body (old DNA that needs to be de-fragmented and processed) it’s time now for you to face it, release it and heal it. Whatever that means for you. It might mean seeking therapy to help you release it. Or it might mean doing a past-life reading to help you understand yourself better. Or it might mean creating a beautiful piece of artwork to help you transform the pain. Whatever way works for you, do it.

I too had old traumas. I did not seek a professional to help me, but I used EFT (also known as Tapping) to help me literally tap into my emotions which I had suppressed for most of my life. It took me a great amount of courage to overcome it, but I did and I can tell you, it’s everything you’ve been looking for - freedom. Freedom from the old way of thinking, freedom from the pain, freedom from your own limiting beliefs and freedom to be happy without feeling guilty about it!

Again, in order to do this, You must care more about how you feel. You must make this your first priority. For if you do not help yourself, you cannot possibly be there to help others. You must learn how to control your own emotions and you must take action to soothe yourself as soon as possible whenever something comes up that might threaten your inner peace. It is this self-care that will propel you and all humans, down the path of evolution.

This is healthy selfishness and it is what each of us must do in order to grow. As we learn to love ourselves, we find it impossible to harbor bad feelings toward others. It is this love that will heal the planet and move us forward as a species.

A Special Message to My Fellow Lightworkers

Some of you may be what is called a lightworker. Simply put, a lightworker is someone who uses love and light (information/intelligence from the benevolence of Spirit) to help heal others and the planet on all levels, in order to shift the consciousness to a new level of being and understanding. You may be worried that if you learn to guard yourself from negativity that you will not be able to feel and empathize with others like you used to, but I can tell you that this is not a valid fear (in fact, no fear is valid for it is on the opposite side of love).

By healing yourself first, you will not lose your ability to connect and feel what others feel, rather you will gain clarity and even more understanding about what they feel. You will be able to help them better because you will be clear. You will not be near the mindset of fear any longer. And you will be like a shining beacon of light and hope, guiding them toward the safety of love.

This is what humanity needs now. And this is what you came here to do, not only for your fellow humans, but for planet Earth, all of its inhabitants and the entire galaxy. For as love lifts our vibrations higher, our experience will lead us to greater and greater awareness of all the benevolent forces around us in this Universe. Fear can no longer touch us. And we will soon discover that the only emotion worth giving our attention to is Love.

Now go and heal the world.
